The Banyule Community Health Aboriginal Health Team consists of Aboriginal staff who assist in running programs and local groups. They also provide help with case management, linking health services and provide advocacy to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Services available include men’s group, women’s group, play group, a youth mentoring program and community development activities such as food bank and family days.
The Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering Place is located two blocks away from Banyule Community Health Service in Heidelberg. It provides programs and activities that aim to strengthen culture knowledge, identity and connection to community. Please contact the West Heidelberg Office number (03) 9450 2000.
